A GNU tool for automatically creating Makefiles Automake is a tool for automatically generating `Makefile.in' files compliant with the GNU Coding Standards. This package contains Automake 1.4, an older version of Automake. You should install it if you need to run automake in a project that has not yet been updated to work with newer versions of Automake.
